Hi again even though I'll be posting in the same day, haha
My next plushie that I will post is for my Mom. She I have to say was the most difficult when it came to what to make. When I shared the idea about making plushies with her she really liked the idea. I had planned at first to make everyone some kind of version of the felt yeti I had made for my grandmother. As you guys know that was impossible because I didn't have the right fabric and not enough of it. That yeti was a fabric monster. Haha
When I told her I would be making something else for everyone she was a little disappointed. So I had to think of something that would rival the yeti. Haha
My mom at one point kept telling me to make her a pikachu if I was going to make something other than the yeti for her. I thought that would be a good idea because when we were little and into pokemon her favorite was pikachu.
But again I didn't have the right colors. Every time I think about the lack of fabrics and colors I want to punch Walmart and myself. Haha People if there's something you can learn from my experience is don't start a project unless you have the right material and a reliable store to get more if you don't or you'll have brain farts the entire time thinking of all the possibilities. Haha
Back to the story...
While I kept thinking of ideas I decided to take a break and watch a movie. As I looked through the movies I came across an old movie of Stars Wars but the one dedicated to Ewoks. An idea came to me and I remembered that my mom totally loved Ewoks and even had the baby Ewok Doll, I don't know if people will remember. What can I say I was born 1988 Star Wars was awesome. Haha
Anyways, I decided to make her an Ewok instead because I had the fabric and colors so it was perfect. Well it was perfect until one moment when I was showing my mom all the plushies I made for everyone and asking for last minute okays she decides to snatch the yeti and say she'll keep it...sigh...Right at the time I was already making her Ewok incognito she makes me convince/fight her to leg go of the yeti and wait for hers to finish. All she kept saying was it better be a pikachu. Haha
When it came around the time to open our presents she thought she knew what she was getting, but instead she got something better. She was all "awwww how cute look I got an Ewok! Awww its so adorable." Even though she said that give it 2 days and she told me she still wants her pikachu. So I said wait until your birthday. Hahaha burn!
Here's what it looked like:
Thanks for taking the time to read my post. I hope that creativity flow and you get inspired to make your own plushies.
God Bless and take care!
