Manatee Felt Plushie ^-^

Hello everyone!

Haven't posted in a while so sorry about that. But no worries because I have a new plushie to share with you all today. ^-^

So, my Mom's birthday is tomorrow and I wanted to make a special plushie for her. I needed a theme and something she loved as an idea. Well here in Florida we have an adorable creature that we enjoy every summer (also my mom's favorite animal). A Manatee!!

Felt Puffy Cloud

Hello everyone,

Did everyone have a nice Monday. Hope you guys did ^-^.

Anyway, I wanted to make my felt plushies a little less flat then usual. It's kind of difficult to turn them inside out to make them round so I wanted another solution. I decided to find a way that I wouldn't have to turn them inside out but still keep them round.

That's when I got the idea to cut right through the middle of the felt and sew it that way. Of course I needed to practice this new found idea and thought why not try small. How about a cute cloud.

So here is how my idea turned out:

Summer Collection

Happy weekend everyone,

Hope everyone is having a great summer so far. For those of you still in school, don't worry school is almost over so hang in there. The wait will make your break worth it.

Talking about summer, I'm thinking of putting together a collection of plushies that represent the seasons.

For summer I'm thinking a beach ball, starfish, watermelon, seashell. Those are just a few ideas. I've already started the starfish and am thinking of making it into a cellstrap plushie.

Let me know if you guys like this collection idea. Also if you have some ideas yourself share them in the comments.

Thanks and God bless!

Octopus Cellstrap Plushie

Hello everybody,

While my aunt was browsing my blog she also came across my overly-big-but-cute octopus that I made for myself. She really loved it and wanted to request for the same octopus along with the two chickies that she previously requested.

The only difference was that she wanted hers for her cellphone. It was tough when I made my octopus, but I thought that maybe it won't be so hard the second time...even though this version will be a lot smaller than the first.

Pair of Chicks

Hey everyone!

So my aunt was browsing through my blog one day and made a request for a pair of Chick plushies.

She and my Uncle have a chicken coupe with lots of chickens and chicks. She also wanted a pair to represent her and my Uncle.

I had lots of fun making these two because they came out so darn cute.

Disney Princess Sofia Doll

Hello again friends,

You guys remember when I mentioned that I got a request to make a Princess Sofia doll...well here it is!

I have to say after what I went through with this doll I found out some things about myself. 1. I'm very attention to detail and 2. I'm not cut out to make dolls. Props to those that can make dolls because its hard at least for me. Haha
I didn't think at first when I agreed to make this what I was going to be putting myself through. Just think nightless sleep, lots of needle pricks, many mistakes, etc....

Get Well Heart ♥

Hello everybody!

Haven't been on here for awhile now. Sorry about that. To make up for being gone so long I have 4 plushies to share with you guys.

On this post I'm going to talk about my Get Well Heart plushie.

I made this plushie for my Abuela because she was in the hospital not too long ago. I wanted to make something for her that would give her some comfort and courage for what she was going through at the time.

Cute Whale ♥

Hey everyone,

Yesterday was my little sister's 20th birthday. Yay!! They grow up so fast...sniff...

Anyway, like I mentioned in my President Aria post, I had given her a present like a month ahead because she was noisy. haha

But I still wanted her to receive a gift on her actual birthday. So I decided to make her something again.

Baby Request!

Hello everyone,

I recently got a request to make a baby plushie for a baby shower. It was a special request,
because one of my Mom's colleagues became a grandmother.

The plushie overall wasn't so difficult. I tried to make it as cute as possible and I think it came out okay.

But there is one thing that I must share about the process. They had one specific detail that the plushie had to have. The detail put me in a tough spot because 1. it was embarrassing and 2. I haven't seen one in years.....literally. The last time I saw one was when I changed my last boy cousins diaper. His age now is 16........let it sink in....yes if you've figured it out they wanted the plushie to have privates. OH..MY..GOSH!

Ninja Turtle Mike request!

Hey everyone,

I just got my first request from someone I didn't know the other day. She saw my little Penelope plushie I gave my sister and asked if I could make a Ninja Turtle for her son. She wanted Michelangelo (who is my favorite) and said she would pay. OMG!!!

Anyway, I was so excited because all my plushies were free gifts for family and not for pay. So this was a first. It was nerve wracking also because of the pressure to make the plushie look nice was making me nervous. But I sucked it up and made the plushie. I designed the pattern myself but won't take credit for the character.

Here's how it came out:

Hamtaro's Penelope...

Hey everyone,

I finally made a cellphone plushie! Yayyyy!

I decided to give my first cell plushie to my sister for her birthday. Her birthday is on the 25th of this month, but she caught me making it so I gave it to her early instead of on her actual b-day...sigh...oh well.

Anyway, with my sister's birthday in mind I wanted to make something cute and tried to think of some inspiration. So I tried to remember anime shows I had seen when we were younger that had cute characters and the anime Hamtaro came to mind. I remembered how cute the hamsters were and remembered that my favortie was Oxnard. Oh the memories....

Cellstrap plushie?

Hey everybody,

So, for a while now I have been thinking of doing something different with my plushies. To try and make them more than just another plush that might just sit on a shelf and collect dust. With that thought, I've decided to make plushies for cellphones and keychains. They'll be used and be carried around not just sitting there and looking pretty. I'll still be making cute plushies to cuddle with though so still look out for those.

Anyway, I'm kinda excited because I just bought some cellphone straps yesterday so I can't wait till those get in. So be ready to see some cute tiny plushies being posted.

Thanks again for being here and reading my post.
God Bless and take care!

Octopus my way...

Hey everyone,

Recently, I've made a new plushie. I got the idea to make this type of plushie after seeing it a lot lately on Pinterest and Esty. It's these adorable octopus that are round and oh so cute that sometimes have mustaches or glasses. I really wanted one so decided to make one for myself.

Of course after the egg/turnip plushie fail, I wasn't so confident that it would turn out so well. Especially since it was again a plushie with more of a 3 dimensional form that I wasn't used to. But, I really wanted an octopus plushie of my own so I went for it.

Before I started, I went around looking for tutorials and I had found this particular one on
google images. Even though it was in japanese I was able to follow the instruction based on the pictures which was pretty neat.

This is the pic:

My cute mistake...

Hey everyone,

I was watching a lot of youtube videos of how to make cute fruit and veggies into plushies and wanted to give it a try. I've been making a lot of like almost 2 dimensional plushies with stuffing, but haven't tried making anything with more form. I had came up with an idea of making a cute egg. It seemed like a safe and easy shape to try.

Boy was I wrong. Haha

Also, I was tempted to take pictures of the progress for this plushie but I'm glad I didn't. Instead of progress it would have looked like a timeline of epic fail. Lol

Choco Cat Plushie

Hey everyone,

So my cousin came over and she saw that I had made myself the Badtz-Maru Plushie and couldn't believe that I could make Hello Kitty characters. So she asked me if I knew how to make Choco Cat and if I did to make her one. Of course I said I knew how. So for the past day and a half I was making her requested Choco Cat.

Here's how it came out:

Detail Practice...

Hey everyone,

Recently I've wanted to broaden my skill at hand sewing with more detailing on my plushies. So I looked up some techniques on youtube and found a method called back stitch. I saw how great it was to add really clean and quick lines and loved it.

I really wanted to quickly try using a back stitch on something. So I came up with a sappling-baby- sort-of-leaf plushie that would need the detail.

Here's what it looks like:

My Badtz...

Hello everyone,

For as long as I remember, when my mom would buy me plush of Hello Kitty I would never get the one I really wanted. My favorite was Badtz-Maru. I just loved his attitude and I don't care face. I still love him more than any of the other characters. Just the other day I was thinking why not make myself one since i kinda have this handmade thing down. And so I did...
Here's how my very own Badtz-Maru came to be:

Name change...

Hey everyone,

Just decided to make some changes to the blog. I put a new title and changed the description. Felt like this related more to what I was posting on the blog than what I had before. Hopefully everyone likes it because I certainly like the change.

Also heads up I will be posting some more plushies that I made, so look out for those.

Thanks for being here and reading my posts.

God Bless!!

President Aria Plushie

Hey all,
So I wanted to test my skills and surprise my sister with a plushie from one of her favorite anime. I think its called "Aria" and its also in a manga series.
One of the characters that she loves is called President Aria. Its supposed to be a ugly cute white cat with unique features. Haha
Here's what it looks like:

So when I made the plushie I decided to exclude the hat that the character wears because he doesn't always wear it in the anime. Also before I stuffed the plushie it was really close to how the character looks but after, one of the eyes had a mind of its own.

New Plushie Named Darwin

Just recently there was a final episode of this cartoon that me and my brother love called The Amazing World of Gumball. It aired on cartoon network so if you guys want to watch look it up because the show is hilariously cute. Anyway, my brother's birthday is coming soon so I got the idea of making one of the characters of the show into a plushie as a present.

Now there's two main characters named Gumball which is a blue cat and a goldfish named Darwin.
The Gumball character is kinda hard to make in the short amount of time until my brother's birthday so I went with Darwin the Goldfish.
Here's a picture of the two:

Finally Posting

Wow, I haven't posted anything in forever. So sad....
Well I'm back and with new plushies. Just made a plushie as a gift for my brother. Hopefully he'll like it.
I will also be making a gift for my sister's birthday. It's in the works but will be done soon.
Can't wait to show you guys what they look like.

Also, I've been thinking of making some plushies and selling them. Let me know if you guys think I should do this and if people would actually buy.

As always thanks for reading my post and being on my blog.

God Bless!!

Posting Patterns...

Hi again all,

I was just thinking that if people saw my plushies and wanted to try them out themselves they should have a pattern to start. So I was wondering if you guys would like me to post the patterns I made to help you guys out. Comment and let me know. Also since I finished posting the plushies that I made on christmas be out on the look out for my future ideas because I have some currently that I want to try and if you guys have any ideas that you want me to do let me know in the comments.

Anyways, thanks again for being here and see you guys later.

God Bless!!

Totoro Plushie

Hi everyone,

I haven't posted in a while so sorry about that. I'm posting today about my last christmas plushie. It was made for my sister and like always I'll first tell the story of how it came to be.
Oh and out of all the plushies I made so far this was the cutest and most time consuming ever.

On to story...
When I was looking for ideas in the beginning my sister was helping me figure out what to make for who. While we were browsing we came across a pick of a Totoro plushie someone had made. First let me say that me and my sister when we were younger were obsessed with Totoro stuff and became real huge fans of the maker so we love all the movies he's made. Anyways, she went crazy with awwwww I want one of those, it's soooo cute, I wish I had one...

Ewok Plushie

Hi again even though I'll be posting in the same day, haha

My next plushie that I will post is for my Mom. She I have to say was the most difficult when it came to what to make. When I shared the idea about making plushies with her she really liked the idea. I had planned at first to make everyone some kind of version of the felt yeti I had made for my grandmother. As you guys know that was impossible because I didn't have the right fabric and not enough of it. That yeti was a fabric monster. Haha

When I told her I would be making something else for everyone she was a little disappointed. So I had to think of something that would rival the yeti. Haha

My mom at one point kept telling me to make her a pikachu if I was going to make something other than the yeti for her. I thought that would be a good idea because when we were little and into pokemon her favorite was pikachu.

Felt Ninja....

Hi everyone,

I don't know about you guys but its been cold here in Flo. da for two days now and I'm loving it. The rest of my family isn't, but I can't help it I'm a december baby. Haha

Anyways, the next three plushies I will be posting are in my opinion my favorites. I had a lot of trouble making them because they were for my mom, sister, and brother. It was hard because they kept coming into my room asking "hows it going, how much do you have left, which one are you making..." I stayed up until the wee hours of the mornìng fighting the attack of being crosseyed to make these guys. So without further ado here's the story that inspired me to make my brother a ninja....

Okay while I was making the plushies for my grandma and aunts my brother really liked the Takoyaki from Aiko. If you guys remember that's the only one he thought was cute. Well he told me that if I was going to make him one I should make the Takoyaki for him too. I said okay at first, but then I eventually changed my mind. I really liked making my own plushies and also thought the Takoyaki was a little girly for him so I had to think for a long time what to make.

Unfortunately....

Hello everyone,

Unfortunately I don't have pics for my other two aunts plushies. It sucks because I really want to share them with you guys. I guess I'll post them whenever I get the chance to take pics myself. It's funny because my mom was telling me I should take pictures of all the plushies I make and I kept saying what for. Now I know why haha.

Anyway, I can give an idea of what I made for them.

For my aunt Tanya I knew she was always interested in anything asian especially japanese so I looked again on Aiko's blog (savior haha) and found a cute Takoyaki plushie. I immediately thought it was perfect for her.

Pusheen Cat Plushie

Hello once again,

I feel like I have to post all my plushies from christmas fast, because I have a lot of new plushie ideas that I want to begin but can't until I post all my finished plushies.

Also I want to give a quick shoutout to Aiko Miyoko for being so awesome and posting patterns for free on her blogspot. I had such a hard time starting out and looking for some kind of guideline so my plushies can come out looking like a plushie. So many people were asking for payment for patterns and I had no money so when I found Aiko's blog I seriously cried. Thank you for being such a kind person and sharing your fluffies like you call them with the world. Creativity should be shared so again thank you.

Okay onto the plushie. Haha

My Shappo Plushie

Hello everyone!

Today I'll be posting the plushie I made for my Aunt Eli.
Now when it came to making a plushie for my aunt I had no idea what to make. I knew very little of the things that she liked. If I remember for my uncle's wedding we wore like a pastel yellow for the dresses because that was the color my aunt chose. Unfortunatley I only had this highlighter color yellow and that wasn't going to work. I did know what she didn't like though, frogs, dogs or any animal really, and the color pink.

Pikachu Bunny

I'm back again with more of my plushies. All the plushies that I will be posting are the ones I made as gifts for christmas. There are a total of 8 I think.

Anyways, the next plushie was for my baby cousin. She's 7 turning 8 this year so huge age difference between me and her but that didn't matter because we get along really well. So for her I had a tough time because I didn't know what to make for her. I had gone through a lot of videos for ideas. Had found one of how to make a Lalaloopsy from socks and thought...Wow! Awesome just the thing for her. Then you know how your brain becomes your enemy because it's like, but wait does she still like Lalaloopsy, would she even want a handmade plush...sigh...yeah cruel brain.

First Plushie Ever....

Hello again all,

Before I post the pic I want to share the story on how all this craft magic started.

My sister and I were trying to think of gifts we could buy for the family with the little to nothing money we had. I brought up the idea of making homemade gifts. My sister agreed that it would be a good idea because gifts made with love were priceless.
So even though we decided on homemade gifts we didn't know what to make. With inspiration from my sister with all these cute pics she found online I had an idea.
I had tried hand sewing a doll before and thought why not.

Hello...

and welcome,

I have some news....I've finally found a reason to use this thing. I've had a blog I think for 4 years now with nothing to really post.
For me having a blog is like having a virtual diary, which is hard to keep because I've tried having a real diary when I was little and totally sucked at it...anyways, that's the reason why my blog has been either with one or two posts or completely blank...sigh..so sad. TT-TT

Anyways, I recently got caught in this crafting faze in my life that I'm not sure all women or girls go through and have made some, what I hope are, cute plushies for my family.
So now I will be using my blog to post pics of my plushies.
I decided to do this because I have seen some other blogs with their amazing creations and found a lot of people commenting with ideas and giving critic which I thought was nice. So feel free to give ideas and comment about my little creations and tell me what you guys think.

Thanks for taking the time to visit and reading my blog. God Bless! :)
